Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Principal Actuarial Data Systems Analyst to deliver technical data support and innovative solutions for Actuarial financial data systems and marts. You will lead in business requirements, implement solutions, and support quarterly/year-end audits.

The role emphasizes complex data solutions, data marts maintenance, and collaboration with multiple business areas. A senior-level candidate with extensive IT and actuarial data experience is preferred, with remote/hybrid

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or advanced degree as required.
8+ years of related experience.
In lieu of degree, 10+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

Develop complex data solutions, data extracts, reports, data marts and analyses across the development life cycle.
Perform monthly data refreshes, validations, automations and QA checks for executive financial reporting.
Lead maintenance and optimization of Actuarial Systems Data Marts.
Serve as lead for multiple application areas, including data definitions, usage and file structure.
Analyze business challenges, develop recommendations, implement solutions and report results.
Establish vendor and interdepartmental relationships to ensure data accuracy.
Ensure financial detail data is auditable and stored for audits.
Provide analytical support for projects to meet business goals.
Lead in developing data solutions by guiding requirements and specifications and participating in UAT.
Coordinate work and train peers and junior staff.
