Activity Director Qualifications & Responsibilities:

• Bachelor's Degree or Certification completion
• Must possess an MEPAP 1, ADC, CDP, or CTRS
• Minimum 2 years of experience in long-term care, as a supervisor
• Ability to communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team
• Developing care plans, monitoring systems, and all documentation requirements
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance programs, State survey processes, Residents’ Rights
• Supervising the Activity Department personnel
• Creating, planning, and implementing monthly calendars and newsletters
• Follow budgetary guidelines for the department
• Creating, planning, and implementing facility event calendars for staff
• Computer literacy
• Ability to manage time effectively
• Creating person-centered large and small group programs, hospitality, and special sensory activities
