Activity Director Qualifications & Responsibilities:

1. Bachelor's Degree or Certification completion
2. Must possess a MEPAP 1, ADC, CDP, or CTRS certification
3. Minimum 2 years of experience in long-term care, as a supervisor
4. Ability to communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team
5. Developing care plans, monitoring systems, and all documentation requirements
6. Knowledge of Quality Assurance programs, State survey processes, Residents’ Rights
7. Supervising the Recreation Department personnel
8. Creating, planning, implementing monthly calendars and newsletters
9. Follow budgetary guidelines for the department
10. Assist in creating, planning, and implementing Facility Event Calendar for staff
11. Computer knowledge
12. Ability to manage time effectively
13. Creating person-centered large and small group programs, hospitality, and special sensory activities
