Job summary

Civitas Senior Living in Midlothian, TX, is seeking a Senior Living Activity Assistant to create joyful and engaging experiences for residents. You will lead daily activities, assist with transportation using the community vehicle, and welcome new residents to foster a warm, connected community.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a similar role.
• Degree in psychology or kinesiology preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Tech-savvy with basic computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Active Engagement: Host daily activities and interactive sessions for residents.
• Safe Transportation: Use the community vehicle to transport residents as needed.
• Team Development: Educates, trains, and encourages team members on personalized activity opportunities.
• Warm Welcome: Meet and greet each resident upon move-in to foster community bonding.
• Event Planning: Decorate common areas for special events and holidays.
• Activity Documentation: Take attendance and photographs of daily activities, creating lasting memories.
• Compliance Mastery: Ensure understanding and adherence to regulations regarding residents’ rights.
• Professional Development: Attend training sessions and engage in continuous learning.
• Other duties as assigned.
