Job summary

Civitas Senior Living in Texas invites you to join our compassionate team as a Senior Living Activity Assistant. You will create joyful, engaging activities for residents and help sustain a warm, welcoming community.

We value care, teamwork, and ongoing learning. The role involves leading daily programs, coordinating events, and ensuring residents’ rights are respected, with training provided and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a similar role; degree in psychology or kinesiology preferred but not mandatory.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong communication skills to connect and engage with residents.
• Basic computer skills and comfort with technology.

Responsibilities

• Host daily activities and interactive sessions for residents.
• Use the community vehicle to transport residents as needed.
• Educate, train, and encourage team members on activities.
• Meet and greet residents on move-in to foster community bonding.
• Plan events and decorate common areas for holidays and special occasions.
• Take attendance and photographs of daily activities.
• Ensure understanding and adherence to regulations regarding residents' rights.
• Attend training sessions and engage in continuous learning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Senior Living Activity Assistant Responsibilities

• Active Engagement: Host daily activities and interactive sessions for residents.
• Safe Transportation: Use the community vehicle to transport residents as needed.
