Job summary

Civitas Senior Living – Legacy Oaks Midlothian is looking for a compassionate Senior Living Activity Assistant to design and run daily resident activities and engagement. You will coordinate transportation, foster social interaction, and support the care team in delivering meaningful programs.

The role requires a genuine heart for seniors, strong communication, and basic computer skills. A valid driver’s license and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Compassionate spirit with enthusiasm for senior care.
• 1+ year of experience in a similar role; degree preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills to connect and engage with residents.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Basic understanding of computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Host daily activities and interactive sessions for residents.
• Transport residents using the community vehicle as needed.
• Educate, train, and encourage team members on personalized activity opportunities.
• Meet and greet residents upon move-in to foster community bonding.
• Plan events and decorate common areas for holidays and special occasions.
• Document attendance and activities with photos to create lasting memories.
• Ensure understanding and adherence to regulations regarding residents’ rights.
• Attend training sessions and engage in continuous learning.
• Other duties as assigned.
