Job summary

Civitas Senior Living in Texas is seeking a dedicated Senior Living Activity Assistant to create engaging programs and meaningful moments for residents. You will lead daily activities, transport residents when needed, and collaborate with the team to tailor opportunities for individual residents.

The role emphasizes compassion for seniors, strong communication, and ongoing professional development, with opportunities for growth and a balanced schedule within a caring community.

Qualifications

• Heart for seniors and compassionate demeanor.
• 1+ year of experience in a similar role; psychology or kinesiology degree preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage residents.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Tech-savvy with basic computer program understanding.

Responsibilities

• Active engagement by hosting daily activities and interactive sessions for residents.
• Safely transport residents using the community vehicle when needed.
• Educate, train, and encourage team members on personalized activity opportunities.
• Meet and greet residents on move-in to foster community bonding.
• Plan events and decorate common areas for special occasions.
• Document activities, including attendance and photos for memories.
• Ensure understanding and adherence to regulations regarding residents’ rights.
• Attend training sessions and engage in ongoing professional development.
• Other duties as assigned.

Senior Living Activity Assistant Responsibilities

• Active Engagement: Host daily activities and interactive sessions for residents.
