Job summary

Civitas Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Senior Living Activity Assistant to engage residents daily, plan activities, and ensure a welcoming community at Legacy Oaks of Azle in Azle, TX.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate safe transportation and events in a busy senior living environment.

Qualifications

• Heart for seniors with compassionate spirit.
• Strong communication skills to connect with residents.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Basic understanding of computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Host daily activities and interactive sessions for residents.
• Transport residents using the community vehicle when needed.
• Educate, train, and encourage team on personalized activity opportunities.
• Meet and greet residents on move-in to foster community bonding.
• Decorate common areas for events and holidays.
• Record attendance and photos of daily activities.
• Ensure understanding and adherence to regulations regarding residents’ rights.
• Attend training sessions and pursue ongoing learning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Senior Living Activity Assistant Responsibilities

• Active Engagement: Host daily activities and interactive sessions for residents.
• Safe Transportation: Use the community vehicle to transport residents as needed.
• Team Development: Educates, trains, and encourages team members on personalized activity opportunities.
• Warm Welcome: Meet and greet each resident upon move-in to foster community bonding.
• Event Planning: Decorate common areas for special events and holidays.
• Activity Documentation: Take attendance and photographs of daily activities, creating lasting memories.
• Compliance Mastery: Ensure understanding and adherence to all regulations regarding residents’s rights.
• Professional Development: Attend training sessions and engage in continuous learning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Heart for Seniors: Compassionate spirit with enthusiasm for senior care.
• Experience and Education: 1+ year of experience in a similar role; degree in psychology or kinesiology preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong Communication Skills: Must have the ability to connect and engage.
• Valid Credentials: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Tech-Savvy: Basic understanding of computer programs.
