Avantara Clark is seeking an Activity Assistant to support residents' emotional and social wellbeing through engaging activity programs. The role involves assisting with directing the Activity Department and ensuring high standards of care at Avantara Clark.

The position is part-time with possible evenings and weekends; prior Activity Aide or Assistant Activity Director experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is preferred, and NCCAP certification is advantageous.

Formación

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior Activity Aide and/or Assistant Activity Director experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
• One year of experience in a director or managerial role.
• NCCAP Certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with implementing and directing activity programs meeting the physical, emotional and psychosocial needs of residents.
• Oversee all aspects of the Activity Department.
• Participate in resident care conferences.
• Develop new activity programs and keep up with trends and industry standards.

As an Activity Assistant you are responsible for our residents’ emotional and social wellbeing. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Clark by assisting with implementing and directing activity programs that meet the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of our residents, assisting with overseeing all aspects of the Activity Department, participating in resident care conferences and assisting with developing new activity programs to keeping up with trends and industry standards. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe. This is a part-time position that ,may include evenings and weekends.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

• As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior Activity Aide and/or Assistant Activity Director experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting, one (1) year of experience in a director or managerial role and NCCAP Certification is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
