Job summary

Avantara Norton is seeking an Activity Aide to join our caring team. You will help maintain residents' emotional and social wellbeing by providing companionship, guiding participation in activities, and assisting with scheduling events such as movies and parties.

Minimum requirements include a 10th grade education and CNA certification. Prior Activity Aide experience is preferred, with opportunities for growth within the facility.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA certification and a minimum of a tenth (10th) grade education.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior Activity Aide experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Assist residents with daily activities and participation in planned events.
• Assist with scheduling movies, planning parties, games, and crafts.
• Accompany residents on activities outside the facility.
• Help maintain residents' social wellbeing and quality of life.

As an Activity Aide you are instrumental in maintaining the emotional and social wellbeing of our residents'. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Norton by interacting with and providing companionship to our residents, encouraging residents to participate in activities, assisting with scheduling movies, planning parties, organizing games, crafts, and accompanying residents on activities outside of the facility. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they emotional and social wellbeing needs are met.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:
