Job summary

Avantara Norton is seeking an Activity Aide to support residents' emotional and social wellbeing through companionship, activity planning, and engagement in social programs. The role emphasizes interaction with residents, encouraging participation in activities, and coordinating events within the facility.

The ideal candidate will have CNA certification and at least a 10th grade education, with prior Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10th grade education required.
• Must be CNA certified.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain residents' emotional and social wellbeing.
• Interact with residents and provide companionship.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities.
• Assist with scheduling movies, planning parties, organizing games and crafts.
• Accompany residents on activities outside the facility.
• Ensure care and attention to detail to meet wellbeing needs.

As an Activity Aide you are instrumental in maintaining the emotional and social wellbeing of our residents’. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Norton by interacting with and providing companionship to our residents, encouraging residents to participate in activities, assisting with scheduling movies, planning parties, organizing games, crafts, and accompanying residents on activities outside of the facility. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they emotional and social wellbeing needs are met.
To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:
As a minimum, a tenth (10th) grade education. Must be CNA certified. Prior Activity Aide experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
