Avantara Milbank is seeking a part-time Activity Aide to join our friendly, caring and supportive team in a Skilled Nursing setting. You will assist in the Activities Department to help residents enjoy meaningful programs while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Duties include assisting operations, developing and implementing programs, greeting guests, recruiting and supervising volunteers, and handling administrative tasks such as charting and care planning.

Formación

• At least an eleventh-grade education.
• Experience as Activity Aide in a Skilled Nursing Facility is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in the facility's Activity Department operations and supervise staff when needed.
• Collaborate with the Director of Activities to develop new programs and meet industry standards.
• Observe and report guest attendance, participation, and behavior changes.
• Participate in care planning meetings and provide observations of guest needs and preferences.
• Greet all new guests on arrival to the facility.
• Recruit, train and supervise volunteers to run activity programs.
• Perform administrative tasks such as charting and care planning.

As an Activity Aide, you are instrumental in assisting in the facilities Activities Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Milbank. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure a clean and safe environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. 1. Responsible for assisting in operations of the facility's Activity Department which includes supervision of staff when needed, development and implementation of departmental policy and procedures, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, local regulations.
2. 2. Collaborate with Director of Activities developing new programs to meet new trends and industry standards.
3. 3. Observe and report Guest's attendance, participation, and behavior changes by documenting and charting.
4. 4. Participates in the care planning process by attending care plan meetings, providing specific information and observations of the Guest's needs, preferences and report any behavioral changes.
5. 5. Meet and great all new Guests and guests upon arrival to the facility.
6. 6. Recruits, trains and supervises volunteers from the surrounding community to develop and run activity programs.
7. 7. Performs administrative tasks such as charting, care planning, reports and etc. Completes assigned MDS portions accurately and on time.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, an eleventh (11th) grade education. Prior Activity Aide experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting is preferable.
