Job summary

Sterling Healthcare Management in Indiana seeks an energetic Activity Aide to plan and lead group and individual activities, support special events, and build relationships with residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience working with elderly or memory care populations preferred — will train the right person.
• Activity professional certification a plus — not required.
• CNA License preferred - not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with group activities including arts and crafts, music, games, and exercise programs.
• Provide one-on-one activities for residents who cannot attend group programs.
• Adapt activities for residents with dementia, memory impairment, or physical limitations.
• Set up, facilitate, and clean up activity spaces before and after each program.
• Assist with special events, holiday celebrations, and themed dining programs.
• Decorate the facility for seasons and holidays to create a warm environment.
• Escort and assist residents to and from activity programs safely.
• Support volunteers and community visitors during programs.
• Report any resident behavioral changes or concerns to the nurse.

What You'll Do

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior experience working with elderly or memory care populations preferred — will train the right person
• Warm, patient, and enthusiastic personality
• Creative, energetic, and able to engage a room
• Ability to work weekdays and rotating weekends
• Activity professional certification a plus — not required
• CNA License preferred- not required.
