Job summary

Focus Health Network is seeking an Activities Aide to lead engaging programs that keep residents active, social, and inspired. You’ll facilitate group activities like arts and crafts, bingo, fitness, music, and trivia, and connect one-on-one with residents who prefer individual visits.

We value an upbeat, empathetic personality who loves sharing hobbies such as music, crafts, gardening, or games, and who can adapt activities for different abilities.

• Empathy for the elderly and ability to adapt activities.
• Basic computer skills for scheduling and the ability to stand/move for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead group activities such as arts and crafts, bingo, fitness, music and trivia.

• Assist the Activities Director with planning events and decorating for holidays.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the Fun: Facilitate group activities such as arts and crafts, bingo, fitness classes, music, and trivia.
• One-on-One Connection: Spend quality time with residents who prefer individual visits, reading to them or simply sharing a conversation.
• Plan & Promote: Assist the Activities Director in brainstorming new event ideas and decorating the facility for holidays and themed parties.
• Documentation: Keep simple logs of resident participation to ensure everyone is staying socially engaged.
