Lead and assist with group activities including arts and crafts, music, games, and exercise programs
Provide one-on-one activities for residents who cannot attend group programs
Adapt activities for residents with dementia, memory impairment, or physical limitations
Set up, facilitate, and clean up activity spaces before and after each program
Assist with special events, holiday celebrations, and themed dining programs
Decorate the facility for seasons and holidays to create a warm environment
Document resident participation accurately in the activity record
Escort and assist residents to and from activity programs safely
Support volunteers and community visitors during programs
Report any resident behavioral changes or concerns to the nurse
High school diploma or GED required
Prior experience working with elderly or memory care populations preferred - will train the right person
Warm, patient, and enthusiastic personality
Creative, energetic, and able to engage a room
Ability to work weekdays and rotating weekends
Activity professional certification a plus - not required
CNA License preferred- not required.
