Job summary

Mountain Laurel Healthcare in Lawrence Township, PA seeks an Activity Aide to support resident engagement and wellbeing. You will assist in planning, organizing and carrying out activity programs, help residents participate, and document activities.

The role requires energy and creativity, strong interpersonal skills, and a team-oriented approach under the Activities Coordinator. Prior experience with seniors is preferred; schedule includes varied hours and every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and carrying out activity programs for residents.
• Document activities and maintain activity records.
• Decorate resident areas and assist residents with getting to and from activity groups.
• Support residents with social, outdoor, 1:1 visits, games, crafts and other activities under the Activities Coordinator.

Activity Aide

The Activity Aide assists in the planning, organizing, carrying out of activity programs for residents, activities documentation, decorating resident areas and assisting residents with getting to and from activity groups. Activities may include social activities, outdoor activities (weather permitting), discussion/reminiscing, gardening/plants, 1:1 visits, games, music, cooking/baking, current events, arts and crafts in accordance with the needs of the residents.

The Activity Aide works as part of a team under the direction of our Activities Coordinator.
Prior experience preferred. Schedule will be varied hours and every other weekend.
