Aventura at Prospect is seeking a compassionate Activity Aide to plan and lead engaging activities for residents in a supportive SNF setting.

Ideal candidates are energetic, patient, and enjoy building positive relationships with residents. You will work with the Activities Director and care teams to promote socialization, creativity, and well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Creative, energetic, and able to engage residents in a variety of activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and facilitating daily activities and recreational programs for residents.
• Encourage resident participation while respecting individual interests, abilities, and preferences.
• Organize activities such as arts and crafts, games, music, exercise, entertainment, social events, and holiday celebrations.
• Assist residents with participating in activities when needed.
• Help create a welcoming and enjoyable environment for residents.
• Build positive relationships with residents and encourage social interaction.
• Assist with decorating activity areas and preparing materials and supplies.
• Maintain activity areas and supplies in a clean, safe, and organized manner.
• Document resident participation and provide feedback to the Activities Director.
• Work collaboratively with nursing and other departments to support resident needs.
• Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and infection-control guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
