Job summary

Complete Care at Shorrock Gardens is seeking an Activity Aide to join our team in Court House. You will help plan and lead daily recreational activities that promote social interaction, creativity, and overall well-being for residents.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with seniors, has a positive attitude, and can work as part of a supportive team. A high school diploma or GED is required, and prior experience is preferred but we welcome motivated learners. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience as an Activity Aide or in a long-term care, healthcare, recreation, or customer service setting is preferred, but we are happy to train motivated candidates.
• Basic computer skills required.
• A genuine passion for enriching the lives of seniors.
• Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Creative, dependable, organized, and able to work well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Activities in coordinating and leading daily recreational, social, and therapeutic programs.
• Encourage resident participation and provide one-on-one support during activities as needed.
• Monitor resident engagement and communicate observations to the nursing team when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and activity documentation.
• Help decorate Complete Care at Court House for holidays, seasonal events, and special celebrations.
• Prepare activity materials and ensure activity spaces remain organized and inviting.
• Support community events and special programs that enhance the resident experience.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Director of Activities or Administrator.
