Job summary

Complete Care at Shrewsbury is seeking a compassionate Activity Aide to plan and lead daily recreational programs that foster socialization, creativity, and well-being for residents.

You will work with the Director of Activities and a supportive team to create a welcoming, home-like atmosphere, assist with events, and document participation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience as an Activity Aide or in long-term care, healthcare, recreation, or customer service preferred, but training is available.
• Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Creative, dependable, organized, and a strong team player.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Genuine passion for enriching the lives of seniors.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Activities in coordinating and leading daily recreational, social, and therapeutic programs.
• Encourage resident participation and provide one-on-one support during activities as needed.
• Monitor resident engagement and communicate observations to the nursing team when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and activity documentation.
• Help decorate Complete Care at Shrewsbury for holidays, seasonal events, and special celebrations.
• Prepare activity materials and ensure activity spaces remain organized and inviting.
• Support community events and special programs that enhance the resident experience.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Director of Activities or Administrator.

Activity Aide Qualifications
