Job summary

Complete Care at Bey Lea Assisted Living seeks an Activity Aide to plan and lead recreational activities, enriching residents' days with social and therapeutic programs.

The role emphasizes teamwork, empathy, and creative engagement, with a part-time schedule (4p-7p) and weekend rotation. Training is provided, and benefits support a caring workplace focused on resident well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous Activity Aide or long-term care experience preferred, but training is available.
• Positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills and communication.
• Creative, dependable, organized, and team-oriented.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Activities in coordinating daily recreational and social programs.
• Encourage resident participation and provide one-on-one support during activities.
• Monitor engagement and communicate observations to the nursing team.
• Maintain attendance records and activity documentation.
• Decorate for holidays and events and prepare activity materials.
• Support community events and perform duties assigned by leadership.

Activity Aide Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Previous experience as an Activity Aide or in a long-term care, healthcare, recreation, or customer service setting is preferred, but we are happy to train motivated candidates.

• Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Creative, dependable, organized, and able to work well as part of a team.

• Basic computer skills required.

Activity Aide Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director of Activities in coordinating and leading daily recreational, social, and therapeutic programs.

• Encourage resident participation and provide one-on-one support during activities as needed.

• Monitor resident engagement and communicate observations to the nursing team when appropriate.

• Maintain accurate attendance records and activity documentation.

• Help decorate Complete Care at Court House for holidays, seasonal events, and special celebrations.

• Prepare activity materials and ensure activity spaces remain organized and inviting.

• Support community events and special programs that enhance the resident experience.

• Perform additional duties assigned by the Director of Activities or Administrator.
