McKnight Place Extended Care in St. Louis, MO is seeking an Activities Assistant (Life Enrichment) for full-time hours at $17.00/hour. The role supports residents with engaging activities and personalized engagement, with weekends and holidays required. Training is provided, and prior experience in relevant fields is a plus but not mandatory.

The schedule is Monday–Friday 9:30am–5:00pm with rotating weekends. Benefits include health coverage, 401(k), daily pay, and discounted amenities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• Compassionate, energetic, and dependable with a positive attitude.
• No experience? We provide paid training.
• Background in customer service, childcare, recreation, hospitality, education, or healthcare is welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with group activities including games, crafts, music, exercise, celebrations, and special events.
• Visit residents one-on-one using activity carts to provide personalized engagement.
• Encourage participation while building meaningful relationships with residents.
• Assist residents throughout the community, including safely pushing wheelchairs as needed.
• Help set up and maintain activity areas and document resident participation.
• Occasionally assist with caring for facility animals as part of the activities program.
