Job summary

McKnight Place Assisted Living & Memory Care is seeking an Activity Assistant to support residents with engaging, meaningful activities in our senior living community in St. Louis.

This part-time role offers flexible hours, weekends on rotation, and opportunities to lead events, games, and exercise sessions that enhance quality of life. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong communication and leadership skills, and experience planning recreational programming or activities for

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Experience with event planning, recreational programming, or organizing activities preferred.
• Six months or more experience in a Senior Living setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with recreational activities, games, trivia, discussions, exercise classes, and events.
• Encourage resident participation and create an inclusive, positive environment.
• Adapt activities to meet residents’ interests, abilities, and needs.

Responsibilities Overview:

As an Activity Assistant, you will help create meaningful, engaging experiences for our residents. This position supports residents’ quality of life through group activities, special events, exercise, games, discussions, and one-on-one interactions.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and assist with recreational activities, games, trivia, discussions, exercise classes, and special events.
• Encourage resident participation and create an inclusive, positive environment.
• Adapt activities to meet residents’ individual interests, abilities, and needs.
• Bring creativity and new ideas to the activity program to keep residents engaged and active.
