Job summary

McKnight Place Assisted Living & Memory Care in St. Louis is seeking an Activity Assistant to create meaningful experiences for residents. You will lead group activities, coordinate events, and support quality of life through engaging programs.

Part-time roles with flexible hours and rotating weekends offer 12–30 hours per week. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and prior experience in senior living or activity planning.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Experience with event planning or recreational programming preferred.
• Six months or more experience in a Senior Living setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with recreational activities, games, trivia, discussions, exercise classes, and events.
• Encourage resident participation and foster an inclusive, positive environment.
• Adapt activities to residents’ interests, abilities, and needs.
• Bring creativity to the activity program to keep residents engaged.

Responsibilities Overview:

As an Activity Assistant, you will help create meaningful, engaging experiences for our residents. This position supports residents’ quality of life through group activities, special events, exercise, games, discussions, and one-on-one interactions.

• Lead and assist with recreational activities, games, trivia, discussions, exercise classes, and special events.
