Job summary

Symphony Applewood in Michigan is seeking an Activity Assistant to support a Life Enrichment program that fosters social engagement, recreation, and well‑being for residents.

Under the Life Enrichment Director, you will lead group and individual activities, assist with planning, and maintain records while enjoying flexible scheduling and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Ability to plan, organize, and lead activities.
• Able to work every other weekend and some holidays.
• 1+ years’ experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities to provide social communication, entertainment, exercise and relaxation for residents.
• Lead group and individual resident activities.
• Complete required record keeping per facility policy.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Life Enrichment Director, the Activity Assistant is responsible with assisting to ensure compliance for a well-rounded Life Enrichment program that promotes the needs of the residents while complying with overall operation of the Recreation Therapy Department according to state and federal guidelines.

• Assist our residents’ with activities to provide social communication, entertainment, exercise and relaxation for our residents.
