Job summary

Symphony Applewood in Michigan seeks an Activity Assistant to support a Life Enrichment program that promotes residents' well-being while aligning with facility policies. You will help design and run activities that encourage social interaction, recreation, and relaxation.

Under Life Enrichment supervision, you will lead group and individual activities, assist with planning, and maintain required records. This role emphasizes compassionate care and teamwork in a skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to plan, organize, and lead activities.
• Ability to work every other weekend as well as some holidays
• 1+ years' experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting (preferred)

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Life Enrichment Director, the Activity Assistant is responsible with assisting to ensure compliance for a well-rounded Life Enrichment program that promotes the needs of the residents while complying with overall operation of the Recreation Therapy Department according to state and federal guidelines.
