Job summary

Ozark Care and Rehab in Missouri is seeking an energetic Activities Assistant to engage residents with planned and spontaneous activities, prepare snacks, and support dining events.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and a current CNA license, with NCCAP or OT assistant certification preferred. Weekend, holiday, and evening availability is expected, along with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current CNA License required.
• 6 college credits in NCCAP-preferred field.
• 500 hours of activity programming experience preferred.
• NCCAP Certification or Occupational Therapy Assistant certification preferred.
• Maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, pre-plan and implement floor activities according to the center activity schedule.
• Use monthly calendar ideas to plan and organize special floor activities.
• Prepare special snacks with residents.
• Set up dining room tables for activities.
• Clean up after all activities and complete required logs/charting.
• Assist residents to and from common areas per care plan.
• Support other departments with residents as needed; weekends/holidays/evenings required.

Essential Functionsof Activities Assistant:

• Keeping all activity areas clean, safe and free from clutter
• Assist residents to and from common areas as stated by their care plan
• Assist other departments with residents as needed and required
• Weekends, holidays and evenings required

Qualificationsof Activities Assistant:

• High School Diploma or general equivalency is required.
• Current CNA License
• 6 college credits in applicable study as required by NCCAP is preferred
• 500 hours of experience in activity programming is preferred
• Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant or NCCAP Certification is preferred
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
