Job summary

Jefferson City Care & Rehab seeks compassionate Activities Assistant for part-time openings to support residents with engaging floor activities and special events.

You will plan and implement activities, prepare snacks, assist residents to dining and common areas, and maintain logs; weekends/evenings required. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Preferred NCCAP credits (6) and experience in activity programming.
• Certifications in NCCAP or Occupational Therapy Assistant are preferred.
• Maintain a working email and phone number for employer communication.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, pre-plan and implement floor activities based on the center activity schedule.
• Plan special floor activities using monthly calendar ideas.
• Prepare special snacks with residents.
• Set up dining room tables for activities.
• Clean up after activities and complete required logs and charting.
• Keep activity areas clean, safe and organized.
• Assist residents to and from common areas as care plans indicate.
• Support other departments with residents as needed.
• Weekends, holidays, and evenings required.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

6 college credits NCCAP

500 hours of activity programming experience

NCCAP Certification or OTA Certification

Essential Functions of Activities Assistant:

Qualifications of Activities Assistant:

• High School Diploma or general equivalency is required
• 6 college credits in applicable study as required by NCCAP is preferred
• 500 hours of experience in activity programming is preferred
• Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant or NCCAP Certification is preferred
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
