Job summary

Ozark Care and Rehab seeks compassionate Activities Assistant to plan and implement floor activities, prepare snacks, and assist residents daily. The role requires a CNA license, with NCCAP preferences and notes about logs, safety, and care-plan adherence.

The position includes weekend, holiday, and evening hours and offers a team environment with opportunities for growth. Strong communication and reliability are essential as you coordinate with other departments and maintain activity areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current CNA License.
• 6 college credits in applicable study preferred (NCCAP).
• 500 hours of experience in activity programming preferred.
• Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant or NCCAP preferred.
• Maintain working email and phone number for communication.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, pre-plan and implement floor activities based on center activity schedule.
• Use monthly calendar ideas to plan and organize special floor activities.
• Prepare special snacks with residents.
• Set up the dining room tables for activities.
• Clean up after all activities.
• Complete required logs and charting.
• Keep activity areas clean, safe and free from clutter.
• Assist residents to and from common areas as stated by their care plan.
• Assist other departments with residents as needed and required.
• Weekends, holidays and evenings required.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Current CNA License

NCCAP/OT Assistant certification preferred

600 hours experience in activity programming preferred
