Job summary

Heritage Villa in Bartlesville, OK seeks compassionate Activities Assistants to enrich resident life on weekends and days. You will schedule floor activities, plan special events, prepare snacks, and assist with dining setup and cleanup.

Responsibilities include maintaining logs, keeping areas clean and safe, assisting residents per care plans, and supporting other departments. Weekend/evening work is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active CNA license for Oklahoma required.
• NCCAP certification or OT assistant certification preferred.
• Minimum 500 hours of activity programming experience preferred.
• Maintain a working email and phone for employer communication.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and implement floor activities based on center calendar.
• Plan specialfloor activities using monthly ideas.
• Prepare snacks with residents and set up dining tables.
• Clean up after activities and complete required logs/charts.
• Keep activity areas clean, safe and uncluttered.
• Assist residents to/from common areas per care plan.
• Support other departments as needed; weekends and holidays required.

Essential Functions of Activities Assistant

• Schedule, pre-plan and implement floor activities based on center activity schedule
• Use monthly calendar ideas to plan and organize special floor activities
• Prepare special snacks with residents
• Set up the dining room tables for activities
• Clean up after all activities
• Complete required logs and charting
• Keeping all activity areas clean, safe and free from clutter
• Assist residents to and from common areas as stated by their care plan
• Assist other departments with residents as needed and required
• Weekends, holidays and evenings required

Qualifications of Activities Assistant

• High School Diploma or general equivalency is required
• Current, active CNA license with the Stated of Oklahoma is required
• 6 college credits in applicable study as required by NCCAP is preferred
• 500 hours of experience in activity programming is preferred
• Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant or NCCAP Certification is preferred
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
