Job summary

Heritage Villa in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, seeks an Activities Assistant to organize and lead engaging floor activities for residents according to the center activity schedule.

You will plan monthly calendars, prepare snacks, set up the dining room for events, and assist residents to and from areas, with weekends, holidays, and evenings required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Oklahoma CNA license required.
• At least 6 NCCAP college credits preferred.
• Minimum 500 hours of experience in activity programming preferred.
• OTA/NCCAP Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, pre-plan and implement floor activities based on center activity schedule.
• Use monthly calendar ideas to plan and organize special floor activities.
• Prepare special snacks with residents.
• Set up the dining room tables for activities.
• Clean up after all activities.
• Complete required logs and charting.
• Keep activity areas clean, safe and free from clutter.
• Assist residents to and from common areas as stated by their care plan.
• Assist other departments with residents as needed and required.
• Weekends, holidays and evenings required.

Qualifications of Activities Assistant:

• High School Diploma or general equivalency is required
• Current, active CNA license with the Stated of Oklahoma is required
• 6 college credits in applicable study as required by NCCAP is preferred
• 500 hours of experience in activity programming is preferred
• Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant or NCCAP Certification is preferred
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
