Job summary

Ozark Care and Rehab is seeking a compassionate Activities Assistant to plan and lead engaging floor activities that align with the center schedule. You will prepare snacks, help with dining, and document activities for residents’ logs.

Position requires a High School Diploma or GED and a current CNA license; NCCAP certification is preferred. Weekend/evening shifts are required, with opportunities to grow within a large network of skilled nursing centers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency is required.
• Current CNA License.
• 6 college credits in applicable study preferred by NCCAP.
• 500 hours of experience in activity programming preferred.
• Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant or NCCAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, pre-plan and implement floor activities based on center activity schedule.
• Use monthly calendar ideas to plan and organize special floor activities.
• Prepare snacks with residents.
• Set up dining room tables for activities.
• Clean up after activities.
• Complete required logs and charting.
• Keep activity areas clean, safe and clutter-free.
• Assist residents to and from common areas as per care plan.
• Assist other departments with residents as needed.
• Weekends, holidays and evenings required.

Qualifications of Activities Assistant:

• High School Diploma or general equivalency is required.
