Job summary

NexCare Health is seeking an ActivitiesAide in Novi, MI to lead daily life enrichment activities and promote a healing, joyful environment for guests and their families. This part-time role includes day and/or evening shifts, rotating weekends, and some holidays, with opportunities to advance within the company.

You will assist in planning group and individual activities, encouraging participation, and ensuring safe transport to programs while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of related experience in long term care preferred.
• Associates in Music or Recreational Therapy is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care!

Responsibilities

• Lead group and one-on-one life enrichment programs.
• Promote hospitality and a positive environment during daily interactions with guests and families.
• Encourage attendance and transport to life enrichment programs.
• Evaluate patients based on backgrounds, interests, abilities and needs for meaningful programs.
• Develop and display thematic decorations throughout the facility.
• Support and collaborate with team members to complete daily tasks.

The ActivitiesAide delivers and leads life enrichment programs every day. Our calendar is filled with amazing and creative activities that bring fulfillment and joy. These activities have the dual purpose of being therapeutic and promoting health and well-being. We are always trying new fun ideas. If you like to play games and do crafts, this position may be for you!

You will earn: Starting $16.00 per hour! NEW WAGES!

Base wages $15.15 - $16.95 per hour, based on years of experience!
PLUS $0.85 per hour hero pay!

We need your help with these scheduling needs:

• Day Shift or Afternoons / Evenings shift available
• Allshifts include rotating weekends and some holidays

You will promote hospitality and excellent customer service in our every daily interaction with our guests, their families, and visitors. Through kind words and encouragement, you will promote a positive, healthy environment in which to heal and thrive.

What you will need to be part of ourEPICteam:
