Job summary

NexCare Health in Durand, MI invites an Activities Aide to join our award-winning team. The role focuses on delivering engaging life enrichment programs, promoting hospitality, and supporting residents through daily activities in a warm, healing environment.

The position is part-time with flexible scheduling. You will help plan and lead programs, coordinate transportation, and contribute to a joyful atmosphere across the facility.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of related experience in long term care preferred.
• Associates in Music or Recreational Therapy is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care!
• You are a team player, dedicated to doing what it takes to support your team members and get the job done.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospitality and excellent customer service in daily interactions with guests, families, and visitors.
• Assist and lead group and one-on-one life enrichment programs.
• Encourage attendance and transport to and from life enrichment programs.
• Evaluate patients based on background, interests, abilities, physical limitations, and needs for meaningful programs.
• Develop and display thematic and holiday decorations throughout the facility.

You will earn:

• Base wages starting at $14.50 per hour
