Job summary

West Oaks Senior Care & Rehab is seeking an Activities Aide to deliver and lead life enrichment programs, promoting a positive, healing environment through daily activities, games, music, arts, and crafts.

You will support group and individual activities, encourage participation and transport to events, and tailor programs to patients’ interests and abilities while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of related experience in long term care preferred.
• Associates in Music or Recreational Therapy preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering excellent, passionate, innovative care.

Responsibilities

• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in daily interactions with guests, families, and visitors.
• Assist and lead group and one-on-one life enrichment programs.
• Encourage attendance and transport to life enrichment programs.
• Evaluate patients based on background, interests, abilities, and needs for meaningful programs.
• Develop and display thematic and holiday decorations throughout the facility.

Our calendar is filled with amazing and creative activities that bring fulfillment and joy. These activities have the dual purpose of being therapeutic and promoting both physical & mental health and well-being. We are always trying new fun ideas. If you like to play games, listen to music and sing songs, and do arts & crafts - this position may be for you!

You will earn: $15.35 per hour to start

• Competitive wages starting at $14.50
