Job summary

Wexford Senior Care Center is seeking a Life Enrichment Activities Aide to deliver and lead daily programs that promote physical and mental well-being. If you enjoy games, music, singing, arts & crafts, this role may be for you.

The position offers part-time hours with rotating weekends and some holidays; wage starts at $15.00/hour plus hero pay and yearly increases. Benefits include tuition reimbursement, medical with low costs, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of related experience in long term care preferred.
• Associates in Music or Recreational Therapy is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering care.

Responsibilities

• Lead group and one-on-one life enrichment programs.
• Encourage attendance and transport to life enrichment programs.
• Evaluate patients based on interests, abilities, and needs for meaningful activities.
• Develop and display thematic decorations throughout the facility.
• Promote hospitality and a positive environment for guests and families.

The Life Enrichment Activities Aide delivers and leads life enrichment programs every day. Our calendar is filled with amazing and creative activities that bring fulfillment and joy. These activities have the dual purpose of being therapeutic and promoting both physical & mental health and well-being. We are always trying new fun ideas. If you like to play games, listen to music and sing songs, and do arts & crafts - this position may be for you!

You will earn:

• Starting Wages: $15.00 per hour

We can work with your scheduling needs:

• Part Time positions available - all shifts include rotating weekends and some holidays
• 8 hour shifts - Days and Afternoons available!

How you will help people every day:

• You will assist and lead group and one-on-one life enrichment programs.
• You will encourage attendance and transport to and from life enrichment programs.
• You will evaluate patients according to their background, life enrichment interests, abilities, physical limitations, and needs for meaningful programs.
• You will develop and display thematic and holiday decorations throughout the facility.
• You will promote hospitality and excellent customer service in our every daily interaction with our guests, their families, and visitors. Through kind words and encouragement, you will promote a positive, healthy environment in which to heal and thrive.

What you will need to be part of ourEPICteam:
