Job summary

OakPointe Senior Care & Rehab Center is seeking a Life Enrichment Activities Aide to deliver and lead daily enrichment programs, promoting physical and mental health for guests. The role involves group and one-on-one activities, supporting attendance and transportation, and creating themed decorations.

Required: 1+ year in long-term care preferred; Associates in Music or Recreational Therapy preferred; strong customer service with compassionate care for the elderly.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of related experience in long term care preferred.
• EPIC customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative Care!
• Understanding of the physiology and psychology of the aged.
• Be positive, enthusiastic, energetic and have a genuine desire to work with the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in daily interactions with guests, families, and visitors.
• Assist and lead group and one-on-one life enrichment programs.
• Encourage attendance and transport to and from life enrichment programs.
• Evaluate patients according to their background and needs for meaningful programs.
• Develop and display thematic and holiday decorations throughout the facility.

The Life Enrichment Activities Aide delivers and leads life enrichment programs every day. Our calendar is filled with amazing and creative activities that bring our guests fulfillment and joy. These activities have the dual purpose of being therapeutic and promoting both physical & mental health and well-being. We are always trying new fun ideas. If you like to play games, listen to music and sing songs, and do arts & crafts - this position may be for you!
