Job summary

West Oaks Senior Care & Rehab is seeking an Activities Aide to deliver and lead life enrichment programs daily, promoting hospitality and a positive healing environment for residents.

You will assist and lead activities, encourage participation, and tailor programs to residents' interests and needs. This part-time role includes rotating weekends and some holidays, with a focus on compassionate, engaging care.

Responsibilities

• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in daily interactions with guests, families, and visitors.
• Assist and lead group and one-on-one life enrichment programs.
• Encourage attendance and transport to and from life enrichment programs.
• Evaluate patients according to their background, life enrichment interests, abilities, physical limitations, and needs for meaningful programs.
• Develop and display thematic and holiday decorations throughout the facility.

The Activities Aide delivers and leads life enrichment programs every day. Our calendar is filled with amazing and creative activities that bring fulfillment and joy. These activities have the dual purpose of being therapeutic and promoting both physical & mental health and well-being. We are always trying new fun ideas. If you like to play games, listen to music and sing songs, and do arts & crafts - this position may be for you!

You will earn: $15.35 per hour to start

What you will need to be part of our EPIC team:

• 1+ year of related experience in long term care preferred.
• Associates in Music or Recreational Therapy is preferred
