Voya Investment Management in New York seeks an Active Ownership professional to support governance research and voting for public company investments. You will engage with analysts, prepare materials for proxy committees, and assist in developing reports for mutual funds and institutional accounts.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business finance, economics, sustainability or related field.
• 3+ years of active ownership-related experience.
• Strong interest in governance, sustainability, policy, and financial performance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a small team.
• Ability to build relationships with colleagues and external parties.
• Proactive problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ability to work accurately and independently as well as in a small team.
• Assist with preparing materials for investment analysts, proxy committees, and mutual fund boards of directors.
• Prepare legal documents such as foreign market Powers of Attorney and EDGAR filings (Form N-PX).
• Review corporate actions and security lending activity and recalls.
• Assemble and process research materials and account holdings for voting analysis and execution.
• Ensure accounts and ballots are voted accurately according to policy and deadlines.
• Assist in developing quarterly and ad-hoc materials for proxy voting committees and mutual fund boards.
• Collaborate with Responsible Investment and Thematic Research teams to improve processes and source data.
• Work with client service, compliance, and RFP teams on inquiries and reporting.
