Job summary

Voya Financial, Inc. is seeking a senior-level professional to join the Active Ownership team in New York. The role supports voting analysis, governance engagement and research across public companies for our mutual funds and institutional accounts.

The successful candidate will have 3+ years in active ownership, strong financial judgment, and the ability to collaborate across teams while delivering precise, timely materials for vote recommendations and committee meetings.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics, sustainability or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of active ownership-related experience.
• Strong interest in governance, sustainability, policy, and financial performance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials for investment analysts, proxy committees and mutual fund boards.
• Prepare legal documents such as foreign market Powers of Attorney and EDGAR filings (Form N-PX).
• Review corporate action and security lending activity and recalls.
• Support proxy voting committees and client inquiries with data-driven analyses.
• Collaborate with Responsible Investment and Thematic Research teams to improve processes and data.
• Ensure accurate voting in line with proxy voting policy and deadlines.
