Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Courtesy Clerk to assist customers, stock shelves, and keep the store clean and welcoming. You’ll greet shoppers, help transport purchases, and support multiple areas of the store on a flexible, active schedule.

The role emphasizes friendly customer service, teamwork, and adherence to store guidelines. Training is provided, and employment is hourly with shifts that vary throughout the week.

Qualifications

• No education or experience required; Hy-Vee provides training
• Customer-service oriented role in a fast-paced store
• Physical, active duties including stocking, cleaning and moving items

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and offer friendly, prompt service
• Package customer purchases and help transport items to customers
• Retrieve carts from the parking lot and manage cart corrals
• Clean registers, restrooms, break room and backroom, sweep and mop floors
• Maintain shelves, rotate stock, and ensure shelf tags and locations are correct
• Check product prices and keep front-end supplies stocked
• Assist in training new courtesy clerks and support other departments as needed
• Deliver products to customers and assist throughout the store as required
