Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Courtesy Clerk to support store operations and customer service. Duties include assisting customers, bagging and transporting purchases, and helping maintain a clean, welcoming store environment.

Shifts vary, and employees will assist in other departments as needed while upholding Hy-Vee policies and standards. Training is provided, with emphasis on teamwork and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• No education or experience required; Hy-Vee will provide training.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service at the register and throughout the store.
• Package customer purchases and help transport to their vehicle.
• Bring carts from the parking lot and manage corrals.
• Clean registers, restrooms, break room, and backroom; sweep and mop floors as needed.
• Stock, face, rotate merchandise, and check shelf tags for accuracy.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed; train new courtesy clerks.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety; report to work on schedule.
