Job summary

Mohave Mental Health Clinics, Inc. seeks a Peer Support Specialist to provide recovery-oriented services to adults with serious mental illness within the clinic system.

You will work as part of the ACT team, delivering peer support, health coaching, and mentoring to help clients achieve independence and engagement in the community. You will model recovery principles, assist with care plans, and coordinate with clinicians and families while maintaining flexibility to serve high-needs clients in

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• 21 years of age or over.
• Valid AZ driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Certified in CPR and First Aid.
• Must have completed Peer Support Training with a passing Recovery Competency Test.
• Understanding of client/family-centered and ACT models of care.

Responsibilities

• Provides peer support and health coaching to seriously mentally ill individuals.
• Engages clients, families, and other involved parties to build trust and engagement.
• Models recovery principles and supports natural supports and community living.
• Teaches recovery tools (e.g., WRAP) with direct observation.
• Coordinates activities with supervisor and ACT team and completes required logs.
• Maintains documentation in compliance with agency standards and reports.
• Delivers service with flexibility and handles multiple deadlines.
• De-escalates clients using approved crisis intervention techniques.
