Job Title: Armed Security Officer

Location: Hamburg, PA

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Requirements:

• Active ACT 235 certification
• Own firearm and holster
• License to carry
• Security experience

Primary Purpose and Function

The Armed Security Officer is responsible for providing security services at assigned locations with a focus on observing and reporting. Duties include monitoring activity, conducting patrols, reporting suspicious activities, writing reports, enforcing policies, and responding to emergencies.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Execute security services as outlined in the Post Order Manual and policies.
• Conduct patrols (walking, vehicular, golf cart, bicycle).
• Identify and report threats, hazards, or emergencies.
• Perform site-specific duties such as customer service, loss prevention, and security roles.
• Write incident reports and communicate with management as needed.
• Implement emergency response procedures.
• Maintain attendance, grooming, and customer service standards.
• Participate in training programs.
• Respond appropriately to incidents, ensuring proper reporting and notifications.
• Support security, customer service, or support functions as directed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Military experience or security-related education preferred.
• 1-3 years of professional experience preferred.
• Valid state license/permit to carry a firearm.
• Background check and drug screening as required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to write clear reports and de-escalate situations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Certifications / Licenses

• Criminal, Credit, and Motor Vehicle background checks.
• Additional jurisdictional requirements as applicable.
