Job Title: Armed Security Officer

Location: Ephrata, PA

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Requirements:

• Active ACT 235 certification
• Own firearm and holster
• License to carry
• Security experience

Primary Purpose and Function

The Armed Security Officer provides security services at assigned locations, focusing on observing and reporting. Duties include monitoring all activity, conducting patrols (foot, vehicular, golf cart, bicycle), reporting suspicious activities, writing detailed reports, enforcing policies, and responding to emergencies.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Execute security services as outlined in the Post Order Manual and company policies.
• Conduct patrols and identify/report threats or hazards.
• Perform site-specific duties such as customer service, loss prevention, and security roles.
• Write incident reports and contact relevant personnel as needed.
• Implement emergency response procedures.
• Follow company procedures, maintain attendance, and adhere to grooming and customer service standards.
• Participate in training programs.
• Respond to incidents per Post Orders and Use of Force Policy.
• Support security, customer service, or support functions as directed.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must perform all duties satisfactorily. Requirements include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Military experience or security-related education preferred
• 1-3 years of professional experience preferred
• Valid state license/permit, background check, and drug test
• Ability to operate motor vehicles, golf carts, or bicycles if required
• Reliable transportation
• Strong report writing and customer service skills
• Excellent communication and judgment skills

• Background checks (Criminal, Credit, Motor Vehicle)
• Additional jurisdictional requirements

Education & Certification

• HS Diploma or GED
• PA ACT 235 License
• Driver's License
• License to Carry Firearm
