Job Title: Armed Security Officer

Location: Boyertown, PA

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Requirements:

• Active ACT 235 certification
• Own firearm and holster
• License to carry
• Security experience

Primary Purpose and Function

The Armed Security Officer provides security at assigned locations, focusing on observation and reporting. Duties include monitoring activity, conducting patrols, reporting suspicious activities, writing reports, enforcing policies, and responding to emergencies.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Execute security services as outlined in the Post Order Manual and policies.
• Conduct patrols (walking, vehicular, golf cart, bicycle).
• Identify and report security threats or hazards.
• Perform site-specific duties such as customer service, loss prevention, security roles.
• Write incident reports and contact relevant personnel.
• Implement emergency response procedures.
• Follow company procedures, maintain attendance, grooming, and customer service standards.
• Participate in orientation and training programs.
• Respond to incidents as per Post Orders and Use of Force Policy.
• Support security, customer service, or other functions as directed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Military, college security education, or related experience preferred.
• 1-3 years of professional experience preferred.
• Valid state registration/permit/license, background check, and drug test required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate assigned vehicles.
• Reliable transportation.
• Effective report writing and customer service skills.
• Ability to de-escalate and communicate professionally.
• Energetic, proactive, and able to prioritize tasks.
• Good judgment and discretion.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well within a team and with clients.

Required Certifications / Licenses

• Criminal, Credit, and Motor Vehicle background check.
• Other applicable client or jurisdictional requirements.

Education & Certification Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• PA ACT 235 License, Driver's License, and License to Carry Firearm.
