Job summary

Pathfinder Bank in Oswego, NY is seeking an ACH & Checking Operations Specialist to support electronic banking operations within a community banking environment. The role focuses on ACH processing, reconciliation, and checking operations while delivering reliable service to customers and internal teams.

You will post and balance daily ACH activities, coordinate file processing, and assist with system testing and enhancements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time-sensitive responsibilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• General knowledge of electronic banking processes.
• Ability to learn banking systems and electronic banking platforms.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily posting and balancing of ACH transactions and complete reconciliations.
• Process ACH activity and ensure timely file delivery per requirements.
• Coordinate ACH processing involving third-party senders and originators.
• Maintain knowledge of ACH functions and cross-train across processes.
• Distribute daily work to teammates and monitor workflow.
• Identify processing issues and escalate to management.
• Support system upgrades, testing, and business continuity exercises.
• Provide backup coverage for checking operations and E-Commerce lines.
