Job summary

Security Industry Specialists, Inc. in Culver City, CA seeks an Accounts Receivable Specialist II to support collections and cash application. You will supervise AR clerks, ensure accurate postings, and help drive process improvements in the AR function.

The role requires 3 years AR experience with some leadership, familiarity with ERP systems, and strong Excel skills. This is a 100% on-site position offering competitive hourly pay and full benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 3 years of progressive Accounts Receivable experience focused on collections and payment application, including some supervisory or lead responsibility.
• Demonstrated experience managing aging reports and driving collections follow-through.
• Familiarity with major ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Workday).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and maintain reports and basic formulas.

Responsibilities

• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports; coordinate with invoicing to follow up on past-due accounts and escalate as needed.
• Oversee and review payment application accuracy, ensuring postings are correct and timely.
• Assist in borrowing base calculations and cash application reconciliations as directed by AR Manager.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams to resolve disputes, short pays, and unapplied cash; document activity.
• Identify workflow inefficiencies and contribute to SOP updates; collaborate on process improvements with AR Manager.
• Serve as day-to-day resource for AR Clerks on collections, payment applications, and customer inquiries; escalate when needed.
