Job summary

SPS is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support accurate billing, collections, cash application, and receivables reporting in the Nashville area. The role focuses on monitoring customer payment behavior, resolving issues, and maintaining strong cash flow for reliable financial reporting.

You will handle dunning, cash application, AR aging, reporting, and coordination with internal teams and external agencies. Strong Excel and SAP skills are required, with 3–5 years of AR experience.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of AR experience including billing, collections, cash application, and reconciliation.
• ERP knowledge (SAP preferred) and proficiency with Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving; able to prioritize independently.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Accounting/Finance or related field (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Monitor open receivables and customer payment behavior.
• Manage dunning activities and collections follow-up.
• Coordinate with external collection agencies when needed.
• Apply incoming cash accurately and reconcile with invoices.
• Prepare AR aging and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) reports.
• Support month-end closing and revenue recognition activities.
• Coordinate with Finance and Client Management on billing and receivables matters.
• Resolve payment disputes with internal stakeholders.
• Escalate overdue accounts as needed.
