Job summary

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in Scottsdale is seeking a Finance professional to join the Credit team. You will manage interdepartmental communications, assist with month-end close, and oversee group and guest billing processes under the Credit Manager.

The role requires hospitality or accounting experience, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work cohesively with a team.

Qualifications

• Hospitality, accounting or equivalent experience required.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications or relevant computer applications required, Opera PMS experience desirable.
• University/College degree in a related discipline an asset.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a high-speed environment.
• Attention to detail a must.
• Ability to adhere to deadlines.
• Highly responsible & reliable.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
• Remain calm and courteous at all times.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interdepartmentally as it relates to group and guest issues
• Participate in training activities to improve knowledge+ skills
• Communicate well with all clients and guests, anticipate and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
• Monitor, supervise and prepare month-end balance sheet account reconciliation
• Prepare forecast vs. actual group commissions and communicate variance to Director of Finance
• Prepare and generate timely group, catering and wedding billing and process payment
• Inspect in-house accounts to ensure adherence to resort's credit policy and assist with collection efforts as necessary
• Monitor accounts receivable (aging) as required
• Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service
• Assist in the month end reporting and procedures
• Follow departmental policies and procedures
• Follow all safety policies
• Other duties as assigned
