Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk in Brockton, MA to support the Office Manager by maintaining charge accounts and resolving AR issues per policy. Strong communication is essential to ensure timely collections and accurate reporting.

You will process payments, monitor aging, update management on status, organize recovery, and prepare closing statements. A team-oriented, detail-focused professional will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Proficient with MS Office and Excel for aging/past due reports.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication, especially on calls.
• Strong interpersonal, team-based collaboration skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
• Experience with collections or accounts receivable a plus.
• Understanding of general business operating procedures and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Process customer payments according to company policy.
• Monitor customer accounts for non-payment, skipped invoices, and partial payments.
• Provide regular communication to management regarding collection status.
• Organize a recovery system and initiate collection efforts.
• Complete monthly and quarterly closing statements and create reports.
• Communicate with customers to arrange payments on delinquent accounts.
• Perform reference checks of credit applications and report findings.
• Investigate and resolve customer inquiries on time.
• Submit accounts to management for bad debt write-offs.
• Fax or e-mail invoices to customers for payment.
• Perform other tasks as required.
